| ◎ Brief History |
|
In 2001, after our school's upgrading into a technology university, in order to consolidate our educational goal in emphasizing both science and humanities, and cultivate professionals in human
resources, our department was established. In addition to enhancing the development in humanistic
education in our school, the establishment of our department aspires to grasp the development of
enterprise organization-- the trend of human-oriented business management. Now, business
management tends to be human oriented for the following reason: natural resources are limited;
however, human resources are also inexhaustible. It is exceptionally true in Taiwan. Human beings
should be the biggest and most potential resources. The establishment of our department target
assists business and government to cultivate "human resources" and facilitate business in making
the best use of "human resources". We believe, with our endeavor that we will be able to help
promote our competitive advantage, in achieving the goal of national development. |

On August 1, 2001, no sooner had our department been legally established, than we began to
employ new faculty with ample professional and academic training. Concerning our fUll time

Business Administration, National Cheng Kung University, 2002), and Kun-Hung Lu, Professor
(PhD in Managerial Science, National Chiao Tung University, 2002). |
|
In addition to employing new faculty members, our department also endeavored in upgrading
our facilities. Through the purchasing of professional equipment, we expect to establish a "seamless
connection" with the job market, to achieve the goal of vacation and technological educational.
Regarding course design, we have a series of "creativity" related programs. Likewise, we launched
the establishment of the "Creativity Workshop", to facilitate lectures and experiments concerning
the "creativity professional courses". Further, we established a "Human Resource Information
Management System Lab" to conduct a course related to human resource development and
management. With the system, the students can apply the theories they learned into practice.
Familiarized with the system, the students can transplant their knowledge into the job market
seamlessly. |
